This recipe came from one of my YouTube subscribers, Sissy Can Do It. This recipe is for a 4 waffle maker, such as the Dash No Mess. Because the size of the waffles is bigger in a 4 waffle maker, you will need to use a little less than 1/4 of this recipe per chaffle if you are using a Dash mini. Also, I found that the quantity of “Everything but the Bagel” seasoning used in the original recipe comes on a little strong if you are just using this as bread, so I dialed it back to 1/2 tablespoon. If you’re putting cream cheese on this chaffle, it will bring back memories of your bagel eating days.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 2 TB mayonnaise

  • 2 TB heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

  • 2 TB oat fiber

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 TB Everything but the Bagel seasoning

Directions

  • Whisk together the eggs, mayo, and heavy cream.
  • Add the mozzarella, oat fiber, baking powder and seasoning and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour into a 4-waffle maker (or use <1/4 the batter in a mini waffle maker) and cook for roughly 5 minutes or until you no longer see steam coming out of the waffle maker.
  • Move to a wire rack and let cool.

Hi Steve! Thanks for trying my recipe! I’m sorry that I left out the 1/2 teaspoon baking powder! You were right about the bagel seasoning, mine must have been old because I got a new bottle and it is much stronger! Chaffle on!

  2. This is actually pretty good. Waiting on the arrowroot to try other recipe. Thank you for trying these different recipes and giving me s your valued opinion. A lot of the ingredients are pricey. Appreciate what you do.

It’s true that a number of ingredients a pricey, but I promise you that whenever you see me use an ingredient or tool, I’ll always be using it again (unless I specifically state that an ingredient is only for that one application).

Really enjoyed this recipe. Flavor from my jar of Everything But the Bagel Seasoning was very tasty at quantity listed (1/2 Tbl) but it was TOO SALTY. My mix is about half salt. Next time I’ll make my own blend.
Lox and cream cheese here we come! Thanks!

  4. What can I substitute for Oat fiber?

  5. Great stuff and ideas! I like to add the EBTB seasoning to the outside after I pour, and also with the sesame seeds for my BurgerBun chaffles (Baffles!) LOL.

  6. I used Almond flour instead of Oat flour (because I didn’t have any) and I also used Sir Kensington organic mayo made with Sunflower oil (I am soy intolerant). I also lowered the EBTB seasoning in the recipe to 1 teaspoon, but spread cream cheese over top and sprinkled with more seasoning to taste. It was delicious! Next time I may let it cook a bit longer to get a little crispier.

Is your calorie and carb count for all for or for one chaffle? I am trying to do the carb manager and would like to figure it out to add to my foods. Thanks

  8. I tried Chaffles for the first time today! I made your Everything on it and Chocolate. They were really good! They gave me an idea, How about Chile relleno chaffles? I know you love Chile rellanos!!! (So do I) Btw I found your channel this week and I love it! It’s funny how hardships allows us to find ourselves! So glad your journey has brought you to starting Serious Keto!

  9. These chaffles are FANTASTIC! My favorite way to enjoy them… topped with cream cheese and more EBtB seasoning alongside a spinach salad with some feta, walnuts, and raspberry vinaigrette dressing – a most satisfying meal. I use the Dash mini but leave the recipe as is so I’ll have a couple for the next day.

This worked great in my Dash Mini (half batch makes about 2.5 waffles). I subbed psyllium husks for the oat fiber and it worked fine.

I would recommend making 6 chaffles in the Dash Mini out of a full batch from this recipe. Unless you like cleaning up a big mess. I tried 5 and still couldn’t keep the batter from pouring out the front. Resulting chaffle is light and airy. If you want something more bagel-like, maybe just add seasoning to a more basic recipe (egg, cheese, flour).

  12. I made your Best Bread Chaffle and loved it-I made this and next time. I’ll use that recipe for my next everything bagel. I just ordered the Costco EBBB type-seasoning bc the one I JUST bought is extremely salty.. kinda ruined it, even with extra cream cheese. Tbh, I can’t wait to try your pumpkin chaffle! (Just ordered some pumpkin) I’m having fun binge-watching your great videos! I’m making actual, hand-written lists of the next fun keto yummies 🙂

I just made these, and wow – tasty! The only changes I made: I added maybe a scant 1/8 tsp truffle zest, and 2 oz ground up smoked salmon. (Actually, I made 1/2 recipe, so 1/2 those measurements – those are for a full recipe.) I spread cream cheese on top, and it’s Saturday Brunch! Yum! Thanks for this recipe!
